Understanding Universal Law – Part 3/3

2019-09-26T02:31:20+00:00

In parts 1 and 2 I discussed how even though the Universal Laws are over-arching principles of how the Universe works, they also pertain to us because we too exist within the same Universal matrix. (Link to parts 1 and 2 below) I also discussed their history and showed that all major religions and thought systems offer us at least the concepts held within the major and well-known Universal Laws. Here is a recap of the Universal Laws that affect us - excepted from book 1, Why We Are the Way We Are, of my new released series 'Our Journeys to Peace Series, Book 2, Becoming Our Best Self out later this Fall. (info links and cover images below). 1st,the Law of Openness denotes that we have to be in a state of receptivity to be able to access the love, joy, sense of empowerment and other gifts available to us from the Universe. 2nd, the Law of Authenticity indicates that we need to come from an honest place within ourselves. We must understand where our motivations come from. 3rd, the well-known Law of Attraction confirms that we are vibration and maintains the principles that “like attracts like” and “we are the creator of our own realities.” 4th, the Law of Cause and Effect clarifies that we are the cause of our experiences, not at the effect of the world around us. 5th, the Law of Balance suggests that we should strive to live in a way that promotes a sense of equilibrium in our lives and harmony in our beings. To become balanced, we also have to make peace with all parts of ourselves as well as the world around us. And finally, the Law of Expansion comes into play in our lives once the other laws are well integrated into our beings, whereby the exponential function allows us to take a sharp upward turn and expand into all that we can be. This is an except from my new book, Why We Are the Way We Are  (Book 1 of my new ‘Our Journeys to Peace’ Series - see end for Book 2) See Here for About Book. (Available in print and e-book from Amazon) Universal Law and the Planes of Existence Universal Law and its principles apply to, link, and govern the various planes of existence – the physical, the mental, and the spiritual. Everything in the physical plane is either in a phase of growth, or decay. The mental plane, or consciousness, is either in a state of thinking, planning, or creating – whether through the individual or the collective mind. The spiritual plane embodies the All – the Oneness: it sees the big picture. Our higher Self resides on this spiritual plane. This is why it is always encouraging us to understand the big picture and to embrace attitudes that align with the qualities of Oneness, like love, compassion, fairness, etc. Even though we and our bodies are on the physical plane, aligning with the Universal Laws allows us to access the spiritual plane [...]

Understanding Universal Law Part 2/3

2019-09-19T23:58:45+00:00

I finished off Part 1 explaining that the Universal Laws and their principles influence our relationship to our self, to others, and to the part of us that still holds the link to our creative source (higher Self, God, Source, Creator, Spirit, Holy Spirit – or whatever we feel comfortable calling that connection). The themes of the Universal Laws have always been know and offered to us throughout history. You can read Part 1 here Universal Law and Our Past History Universal Law and its principles have been passed on to us through numerous holy people, in many ways, and in various forms. Through their gods, teachers, and philosophers the ancients attempted to explain the laws and principles that pertain to creation, the cosmos, and our link to them. They also attempted to explain the subtler aspects of the creative principle – as they relate to us. Based on these principles, texts were written that influenced many of the religions and thought-systems of the day. This post is based on concepts in my recent book, Why We Are the Way We Are See Here for About Book. Available in print and e-book from Amazon. In his investigation regarding human consciousness and religion, Stanislav Grof tells us in The Holotropic Mind: The Three Levels of Human Consciousness and How They Shape Our Lives that this creative principle, or cosmic consciousness, that has been written about in many ancient religious scriptures is known by different names: “Brahman in Hinduism, Dharmkaya in Mahayana Buddhism, the Tao in Taoism, Pneuma in Christian mysticism, Allah in Sufism, and Kether in the Kabbalah.”(1) One of the much-revered spiritual teachers of the ancient Egyptians was Thoth Hermes Trismegistus, who they later declared to be their god Thoth. From his teachings emerged the Hermetic Laws. Later on, the Greeks were so impressed with Thoth and his teachings that they took on the principles of the Hermetic Laws and named him their god Hermes. It is widely believed that Thoth and these laws and principles influenced many other writings and spiritual communities such as the Sumerians, the Buddhists, ancient Judaism, and Christianity. Many of these writings made their way into religious and spiritual texts we still use today. However, we have to make the distinction between the Universal Laws and the religious rules we are to live by, such as the 613 rules of Judaism. Universal Laws (Kingdom Principles, Hermetic Laws, etc.) are esoteric in nature. They are over-arching principles of how the Universe works – just like gravity is a scientific principle on earth. Nonetheless, it is evident that many of the rules to live by in the various religions have some basis in Universal Law. We Are Creative Consciousness In his same book, Grof also tells us that when physicists explored the micro world, they concluded that what “appears to be made up of solid objects” is actually an interweaving “complex web of unified events and relationships.” He says that we can then conclude that “consciousness does not just [...]

Understanding Universal Law – Part 1 / 3

2019-08-27T21:31:14+00:00

Just as there are proven laws such as gravity that govern our physical world, there are also laws that govern our Universe. Everything in the Universe, including us, emerged from and is still connected to and intertwined with the energy of the original creative source – embodied by a Oneness and often referred to as God, Source, Creator, etc. And there is a perfect divine plan – a creative principle - that holds it all together. Based on this creative principle, invisible codes were set out at the creation of our cosmos. Throughout history, the sages who were guiding us gave us governing principles based on the Universal matrix’s invisible codes. This post is based on concepts in my recent book, Why We Are the Way We Are See Here for About Book. Available in print and e-book from Amazon. Some became known as the Universal Laws, Kingdom Principles, and Hermetic Laws. However, these laws and principles do not hold commands. They are about vibrations. These laws are meant as guidelines to help us align our vibrations – through our thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and ways of being to that of our original creative source. The more aligned we are to Source the easier it is for us to become our Best Selves and reach our highest potentials - in form here on earth, as well as in assisting our soul’s journey into its next phase. Micro and Macro Universal Principles of Form On a macro level the Universal principles govern the creation and maintenance of all form: the planets, the stars, the galaxies, etc. – and hold it all in perfect divine balance. On a micro level, Universal principles affect the subtler aspects the creations, like evolution, or the natural laws of the animal kingdom whereby the stronger survive. It is the subtler aspects of these governing principles that influences us. It is in the understanding and application of the principles of the creation codes, like the Oneness paradigm and the Universal Laws that pertain to us, that help us to evolve – individually, collectively, and in conjunction with our Planet. They also help us to recognize our connection to the cosmos. These Universal Laws and their principles influence our relationship to our self, to others, and to the part of us that still holds the link to our creative source (higher Self, God, Source, Creator, Spirit, Holy Spirit – or whatever we feel comfortable calling that connection). Micro and Macro Universal Principles

2019-06-17T22:43:24+00:00

On a macro level the Universal principles govern the creation and maintenance of all form: the planets, the stars, the galaxies, etc.—and hold it all in perfect divine balance. (There are links below to posts on some of the Universal Laws) On a micro level, Universal principles affect the subtler aspects the creations, like evolution, or the natural laws of the animal kingdom whereby the stronger survive. It is the subtler aspects of these governing principles that influence us. It is in the understanding and application of the principles of the creation codes, like the Oneness paradigm and the Universal Laws that pertain to us, that help us to evolve—individually, collectively, and in conjunction with our Planet. They also help us align to our connection to the cosmos. These Universal Laws and their principles influence our relationship to our self, to others, and to the part of us that still holds the link to our creative source (higher Self, God, Source, Creator, Spirit, Holy Spirit—or whatever we are comfortable calling that connection). This is an except from my new book, Why We Are the Way We Are  Link for About Book is below We Are Creative Consciousness / We Are the Creative Principle The ancient gods, teachers, and philosophers attempted to explain the Universal laws and principles to us that pertain to creation, the cosmos, and our link to them. These explanations have been passed on to us throughout history—through numerous holy people, in many ways, and in various forms. The ancients also attempted to explain the subtler aspects of the  creative principle—as they relate to us. These subtler aspects are embedded in our holy books through stories and allegories—that speak through our hearts. This is why they are timeless and can still offer us comfort and insight today. Although the ancient philosophers and evolved, holy people had a full understanding of Universal laws and principles and how they relate to us, the every-day people were not evolved or educated enough to understand the full scope of how the scientific and cosmic understandings intertwine and support each other. This has changed. Today we expect full explanations—and we are getting them. In his investigation regarding the creative principle and cosmic and human consciousness as they relate to ancient philosophy, religion, and modern scientific understanding Stanislav Grof tells us in The Holotropic Mind ...   that when physicists explored the micro world, they concluded that: "what appears to be made up of solid objects” is actually an interweaving “complex web of unified events and relationships.” He says that we can then conclude that: “consciousness does not just passively reflect the material world; it plays an active role in creating reality itself.”[1] Grof then relates creative consciousness to quantum principles, because it shows us that physical boundaries are arbitrary, illusory, and can therefore be transcended. He says that it is in our enlightenment moments that we transcend these boundaries and experience the cosmic consciousness. He concludes that not only can we connect with the creative principle, but in a sense, we [...]

Universal Laws (Kingdom Principles and Hermetic Laws, among some of the names given) are esoteric in nature. They are over-arching principles of how the Universe works – just like gravity is a scientific principle on earth. They are guidelines to live by to become our Best Self. (Links to Part 1 and 3 below) Many of the rules to live by in the various religions have some basis in Universal Law. Everything in the Universe is vibration and in a constant state of flux, and so everything – including us is – always being influenced by these governing principles – whether we are aware of it or not. And because everything holds a consciousness, outcomes can be directed. We now understand the connection between scientific findings like quantum physics and spiritual concepts like the Law of Attraction’s premise that “we create our own realities.” Outcomes in the natural world and individual outcomes can be consciously altered. Grof’s findings also show that the message is the same across all the religions he investigated [...]

Universal Laws Guide Us to Become Our Best Self

2019-01-29T15:54:14+00:00

To become the creators of our realities rather than at the effect of our Unconscious Influences, we have to recognize that the energetic vibrations we emit into the Universe are our requests for life experiences. Every thought, emotion, attitude, belief, response, action, and word spoken emits a vibration. And our vibrations are held within every cell of our being and make up the fabric of our Life Matrix. To shift anything held within our Life Matrix, we must change the vibrations we give off. To shift our vibrations, we need to shift our inner beliefs and corresponding thoughts and attitudes. The reason we attract people, things, and situations into our life is that we have requested them through the vibrations our thoughts, emotions, words, and attitudes emit. When we emerged from the Oneness God-energy the gift of conscious co-creation came with us, and it was through the vibrations of our thoughts, desires, and ideas that our creations could come about. Having lost the awareness that this is how we create, we have also forgotten that this is how the Universe responds to us. It recognizes our Life Matrix as our blueprint. This blueprint also holds our intentions and intensity. The vibrations we emit from our blueprint act like requests, and the intensity these vibrations hold translates as a barometer of the importance of our requests. As do our intentions - however subtle they are. The stronger the emotional attachment to something, be that an intense like or dislike, the stronger the pull to attract the same back to us. It is like a resonating energetic vibration and acts like a boomerang. The Law of Attraction is always at play. The more loving and accepting we are toward others, the more we will draw love and acceptance into our spheres, as that is what we have requested with our energy. The more we are critical and judgmental toward others, the more we will draw criticism and judgment toward us. Paradigms We Get Stuck In It is so easy to get stuck in the “he said/she said” or “they made me feel” paradigms. This is how we are programmed, and this is what we know. But it doesn’t get us what we want! If we keep focusing on the wrongness, we inevitably invite more of the same into our experiences. We are sullying our vibrations and becoming vulnerable. And this affects not only us but others too. Because we are all energetic beings, we may infringe on each other’s’ energetic vibrations—especially when we are tired, stressed, or being negative, as we are then energetically weak and vulnerable. In these energetically weakened states we are distanced from our power-base, and are susceptible to picking up another’s energy. Sometimes when we start to feel drained, agitated, or conflicted it is because we have picked up another’s energetic output. So, we must be attentive to what we are absorbing from others. Once we realize we have picked up something from another, we just have to [...]

The Universal Law of Openness – Part 3 of 3

2018-10-20T14:54:59+00:00

(Links to parts 1 and 2 are below). As I explained in Part 1, to fully take advantage of the gifts the universe has to offer us we have to be “open” – in a state of receptivity – in our heart-space, and in Part 2 I put forth that we also have to be open to transformation – to what is keeping us from being open-hearted – in that state of receptivity. Openness also Means Being Open to New Ideas and Approaches The Law of Openness also open to alternatives. To new ideas and approaches. To seeing things through a new lens. Open to changing our views on some things. Being open to alternatives means that we must be receptive to the fact that our individual perspectives are not the only ones, and that they may even be misguided. It helps to remember that over our lifetime most of us have changed our minds about things we once believed to be true. We must be open to questioning some of our views – especially those we inherited based on old paradigms. On our health. The Planet. What we were taught about our past – especially regarding people of Indigenous cultures, other races, and different orientations. On the safety of our food supply. How our scriptures are interpreted. Open to new ways to dealing with personal and collective issues. New Ideas Regarding Our Health Being open to universal flow, we can tune into the innate wisdom held in our bodies. Christiane Northrup tells us in Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom that our “symptoms and/or illnesses … [come with] messages” and suggests we ask ourselves, “Am I open to listening to them?” She explains that our illnesses speak to us, and that we should listen to the messages our bodies give us – for the purposes of understanding, healing, and possibly making life changes – not for an in-depth analysis of why it happened. (1). Read about Book 1 Why we Are the Way We Are (due out November) of my new 'Our Journeys to Peace' Series  (to be published in November)  here Little Ideas that Help Our Planet There are many little things we can all do for the Planet. For example, we can exchange our lush green lawns and properties that require much watering for those that use various decorative alternatives that use less water. In Kelowna, B.C. (a dry, arid area in the Okanagan valley) I have seen a combination of different colored pebbles, small rocks, mulch, and small flowering and cactus-like plants and shrubs create beautiful properties. Being Open While Keeping Healthy Boundaries As we open spiritually and move toward a more open-hearted existence, we have to strike a balance between being open and having healthy boundaries. As we become more open and compassionate towards others we must be aware of our emotional boundaries. People may attempt to walk all over us, lure us to getting pulled into their dramas, or, we may become victims of their neediness or agendas. When we [...]

The Universal Law of Openness – (Part 1 / 3)

2018-10-19T18:19:43+00:00

See below for link to Part 2 The Law of Openness denotes that to fully take advantage of the gifts the universe has to offer us we have to be “open” – in a state of receptivity. Grace, light, energy, and unconditional love are continuously being beamed to us from the higher realms, and to the Planet as a whole. To access these gifts, we must ensure we keep the floodgates to the universe open. Living in faith, with open hearts, and expressing love and its qualities out into the world keeps us in a receptive mode. This is honoring the Law of Openness. Jesus said, “come to me like children” – childlike. With awe. With trust. With hearts open – able to receive and give love. The expression “the heart is the seat of the soul” means that it is through our hearts that we tap into our divinity – our higher selves. To access the qualities inherent in our divinity we have to be in our heart space – not in our mind. (This article/blog post is based on concepts in my first book Your Journey to Peace, Bridging the Gap Between Religion, Spirituality, Psychology, and Science. About book found here  (note you will be directed to Journey's website). Living Heart-centered vs Living Mind-centered When we live heart-centered and with open hearts, we are living at our highest, purest form. The communication lines to the universe are open: love, grace, wisdom, guidance, and information flows freely back and forth. Insights come to us. Our questions are answered. Our concerns addressed. The messages we receive guide us toward our ultimate happiness, life purpose, and our highest good. When we live from a mind-centered place, we are existing at a lower, denser level. Although living heart-centered offers us more than living mind-centered as we have access to universal flow and the power it holds, the mind is louder than the heart. When we are mind-centered, our hearts desires and any messages we might receive are drowned out. Messages are not heard. The communication lines to the universe either contain static or are blocked completely. Any insights or messages that do get through may be blurred or misunderstood. And as our focus is mainly on mind-centered matters and not on those that feed the heart or soul, the only guidance we hear or pay attention to is geared towards our mind-centered concerns. From an open heart-centered place we can accept unconditional love and freely offer love and its qualities like kindness, understanding, compassion, fairness, and acceptance to others. We live life from a place of me-and-you. From a mind-centered place we are less open to others. We react to people and situations at the level of the mind – not from the heart or the soul. We see life and others through barriers – through the mind’s veil of worry, fear, limitations, defensiveness, judgement, control, prejudice, suspiciousness, etc. We erect protective devices.* From a mind-centered place we cannot fully accept or offer love as our [...]
